Rivers State dreaded Militant leader, Don Wanni, Reported dead.

The dreaded and notorious leader of an armed militia group in Omoku, Rivers State, Ejima IGWE Dibia alias "Don wanni" is reported dead. He was said to have been killed by Combined force of OSPAC (Onelga Security outfit) and Security Agents in the state.

Reports made available to Bodmas Kemepadei, reveals that the Caretaker Committee Chairman of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Govt. Council (ONELGA)  Hon.(Barr.) Osi Olisa had earlier in a press statement condemned in strong terms the dastardly killings of two OSPAC personnel and a civilian in Okposi and Omoku respectively, describing it as "vicious and despicable ".

The statement accused the ex-agitator,  Don Wanni and "forces" loyal to him of behind the  violent attack, and urged OSPAC and other security outfits to get to the bottom of the matter.

The statement disclosed the names of the victims as: Eze Daniel,  Prince Chukwulekwu Obi as well as Chuwkwuma Openya who hails from Ebonyi State

The statement further said a 12 year-old son of an OSPAC member,  Prince Okoroma was also kidnapped and the outfit patrol vehicle riddled with bullets.

Following the attack on the OSPAC members, members of the security team swooped on him, were he died after a gun battle at about 8:45pm yesterday, sunday, 19th, 2017.

The dreaded militant leader is said to have embraced the Governor Nyesom Wike's amnesty some time back.

He is alleged to have been responsible for the killing of several rivers indigenes, amongst them were, one Chief Adube and his three children, the beheading of Franklyn Obi and the killing of his wife and son, the murder of several APC Members and the arson on the home of Hon Vincent Ogbuagu, as well as several others in and around Omoku in Ogba /Egbema/ Ndoni LGA of Rivers State.

He was also accused of being sponsored by suspected members of political parties. He is considered as a terror and menace to ONELGA, perpetrating crime and violence.

Several crimes and deaths in Onelga are also connected to him.

His body is said to be lying at the council secretariat, as several indigenes troops out enmass to confirm for themselves his corpse.
