Peace and Tranquility in Brass LGA: Victor Isaiah Setting the pace for industrialisation.

The New Caretaker Chairman of Brass Local government Area, Hon. Victor Isaiah, has finally returned peace and tranquility to the great Brass Island in Bayelsa State.

Brass is one of the centres that harbours Nigeria's wealth, the hub of the country's oil economy and an ancient pre-colonial era site.

Before now, the Island is been reported on the media, as a region subdued by hooligans, sea pirates and cultists, with several cases of violence erupting each day, especially along the waterways.

This was revealed to be one of the reasons that influenced the Governor's decision, in his bid to restore peace and forestall order, he appointed a Youth to man the affairs of the LGA as it's Chairperson.

Speaking during the inauguration ceremony of the LGA Chairmen, amongst many things, the Governor charged the Chairmen to rid out crimes and criminality from their respective local government by working with security agencies to sustain peace in their areas.

Following the directives of the Governor, Hon. Victor Isaiah began a sensitization and orientation campaign, holding series of meetings with different youth groups in an attempt to return peace.

He was reported to have conducted a community to community awareness campaign, reaching to the heart of the youths, while also sending stern warning advising youths to desist and permanently shun criminal activities.

The Chairman in one of his comments had earlier alleged that the violence in the area were sponsored by a few persons, to continue making themselves feudal lords over the masses, he promised to put an end to it.

Following his peace awareness campaign, it is not a far fetched truth that Brass Local Government Area in Bayelsa State under the watch of Hon. Victor Isaiah has gone through a drastic & positive sensitization in all ramifications.

As an oil rich local government in the State, the incessant crisis between youths in the various towns and communities in the area - mostly instigated by cultism and use of hard drugs is gradually becoming a thing of the past.

The arrival and inauguration of Hon. Victor Isaiah on the 14th October 2017 as the Caretaker Chairman is no doubt a huge blessing to the people of Brass LGA.

Hon. Victor Isaiah style of leadership with his human sensitization campaigns to minimize and litigate the incessant crisis in the local government area, has no doubt yielded positive results.

Brass is taking it's shape, and Victor Isaiah now referred to as the new face of Brass, seems not wearied until it becomes the hub of Bayelsa's Industry.

In one of his comment, he said, " my agenda as the Caretaker Chairman in the LGA is to bring peace by eradicating cultism and giving the youths a better future, this i have been able to achieve by setting up laws that will guide youths in the LGA via the dynamic security personnel, mostly the police, Brass will be the envy of other LGA's in no time", he said.
