Bayelsa west students, leaders endorses Fmr. Gov. Dickson for senate

In a meeting convened by the Comr. Atti Joshua Moses, Director General for students mobilisation for Rt. Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson for Senate in Yenagoa yesterday.

Students across the west Senatorial district have unanimously resolved to pitch their tents with former Governor, Rt. Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson for senate in the forthcoming bye-Elections.

In a meeting which witnessed students leaders from the district and other invitee's from other district, saw the students pledging their unflinching loyalty to the Dickson's cause.

In a motion raised by Comrade Asikpi Bob Akpofinine, Ekeremor LGA students President and seconded by Comrade vivian Austin, Sagbama students President, the students unanimously resolved to support the former Governor.

Comrade Vivian Austin speaking during the occasion, noted that the decision was as a result of the glaring educational projects in the district initiated by the former Governor.

She highlighted the Isaac Jasper Boro college of education, the aleibiri polytechnic, the toru orua university and other meaningful project's during his time as Governor.

Addressing newsmen, the convener, Comr. Atti Joshua, commended the efforts of stakeholder's and appealed to all students to tow the path of their resolve.

" It is the Gov's constitutional right to contest, those who are interested should stop propaganda and prepare themselves for Election

"The former Governor has attracted a lot of development to the district, and they are uncountable

" I call on all students, leaders to support his Senatorial bid, it is in the best interest of our People", parts of his statements reads

" Fmr. Governor Henry seriake Dickson is a strong motivational factor to a lot of Youths in Bayelsa State and beyond, he has this exceptional character and the unflinching desire and drive to succeed even in  harsh conditions", parts of his statement reads.

So many Student bodies in Sagbama /Ekeremor, Bayelsa State, Niger Delta and Nigeria at large were also present to show their solidarity, they are:

Two Former NUBSS National Presidents(Comr, Richard Lawyer and Comr Importance Ozu) former NDU SUG President Comr.  K Mitin, a delegation of Student Leaders from Bayelsa East Led by Comr. Godstime Ombu, were also in attendance.
