Bodmas Kemepadei reports that in a well attended congress, by members, leaders and ex-state officials of the Bayelsa state state APC, wherein National officers and the Inec were all on ground to supervise and conduct a peaceful poll.
Joseph fafi emerged as Chairman of the Bayelsa APC with a total of 867 votes.
The elections were conducted at the Azikoro primary school field in yenagoa and was filled to the brimm, party members conducted themselves in an orderly manner without any feud.
Fafi won unopposed after being greeted by 867 votes out of the total 964 delegates present.
Declaring fafi as Chairman, Amb. Sunny Abang, the National secretary, APC Bayelsa state Congress Committee accompanied with other members, noted that he was comfortable with the polls, as there were no other election anywhere.
He said " We are here from Abuja, and i can tell you that there is no other congress anywhere,
with what has happened, we are confident that APC will win Bayelsa in 2019"
In fafi's remark, he called for the unity of the party to enable it achieve it's set goals
He said, "I Want us to all work together let's build a united and prosperous party, you all are aware that as acting chairman, we witness the defection of people from other parties".
