Bayelsa aged women protests nude against Dickson over mass retrenchment of workers
Bodmas Kemrpadei reports that non academic staffs of the state owned Niger Delta university protested nude today over what they described as unjust and wicked treatment meted on them by the state governor.
The protesters who were mostly women, above the age of 50, were seen half naked with their breasts open, raining curses upon the governor.
The protesters also carried out the funeral rites of the state Governor, as they carried a coffin like object with inscription "RIP DICKSON"
The protesters were angry over the sack notice given to them.
The protests was geared against the state government and management of the university, due to what they explain as high-handedness, marginalization and indiscriminate sacking of workers in the guise of civil service reforms.
The protests is still currently on at the time of filing this report.
