BAYELSA: Many injured as 1 confirmed dead in Youths Election

Wild scale irregularities was reported to marked youths election in Okpoama, Brass Local government area of Bayelsa state. leaving in its trail allegations versus counter allegations by the two major parties involved in the exercise. At least four persons were feared injured and one confirmed dead as at press time today.

The total absence of adequate security forces, is largely on account of the mayhem that was said to have been carried out by the different aggrieved parties.

Iruo Ayebatonyo Jnr, the public relation officer of Okpoama Kingdom Youth Movement, who was one of those that sustained gunshots injuries is reported to have given up the ghost at the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital, Okolobiri.

Other victims are also said to be undergoing medical attention at a health facility in the capital city.
