Southern-Ijaw students hails AGIP, Calls for partnership and mutual cooperation.
A students body in Bayelsa, Federated union of Southern Ijaw students (FUSIS) on Friday hailed the leadership of the Nigeria Agip Oil Company Limited ( NAOC), Ogboinbiri flow station, for the co-operation with students of the region, while it pledged partnership for increased and rapid development.
In a statement issued to Bodmasnewsblog, the National Secretary of the Union, Comr. OYINDOUBRA AMAINTARI, commended the leadership of the Ogboinbiri flow station, for making impact in its area of operations.
Specifically, he showered praises on the officer in charge of the area, for being sensitive to the plight students of the region.
The National secretary further spelt out the need for a more mutual cooperation and understanding amongst the leadership and the leadership of the students body, stressing that it would give a sense of belonging to the people, who had overtime felt being neglected.
“i want to commend the officer in charge of Nigerian Agip Oil Company Limited, Ogboinbiri flow station, for his managerial skills and quick response to issues, i am impressed", he added
The National secretary added that, “There was need for the management of the Company to work hand in hand with the leadership of our union, to bring about development via skills acquisition programme, as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility to their host region"
“We are using this medium to appeal to Agip operating in the Region to support the union". He concluded.
