POWER OUTAGE IN YENAGOA: PHED APOLOGISES, SAYS POWER WILL BE RESTORED SOON

YENAGOA: Following the Power outage in Yenagoa since on the 7th of June which has left the entire metropolis in total darkness.

Sparkonline reported on 11th June, that " Yenagoa, the Bayelsa state capital is still experiencing power outage which is due to a faulty Owerri/Yenagoa 132kv lines which occurred since 6th June 2017 "

Meanwhile, a facebook user and an On Air Personality, Mr. Lishman Onisodemuya on 13th June, posted on his wall, stating that the Bunsiness manager of the Port-Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company  (PHED) apologises for the power outage which has lingered since the early hours of Wednesday 7th June.

Mr. Uzor in the said Post, attributed the cause of the power outage to a cut conductor on 132kv tower line by Mbiama Axis, he therefore regretted any inconvenience it must have caused and assured its esteemed customers of restoration of power supply soon, adding that all efforts are already geared towards ensuring that the Transmission Company completes the repairs in the next couple of hours.

" Uzor McGodwins Achi Business Manager of the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company wishes to apologize for the power outage that has lingered since the early hours of Wednesday, 7th June, 2017. He says it was caused by a cut conductor on 132kv tower line by Mbiama axis, which threw the entire Bayelsa in darkness!

PHEDC regrets the inconveniences caused in the past few days. The needed repairs are within the jurisdiction of the Transmission Company, as PHEDC are only able to distribute when the supply lines are okay.

PHEDC assures its esteemed customers of a restoration of supply very soon, as all efforts are already geared towards ensuring that the Transmission Company completes the repairs in the next couple of hours.

The Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED), has announced a power outage in Port Harcourt metropolis that started at about 10 am today.
The outage, according to the distribution company, was scheduled to last until 3 pm in order to allow the technical crew from Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, fix a faulty 132KV Afam Lines 1.
Meanwhile, Yenagoa, the Bayelsa state capital is still experiencing power outage which is also due to a faulty Owerri/Yenagoa 132kv lines which occurred since 6th June 2017.

It was, however, announced that the TCN has discovered the spot of the fault and has assured PHED that it will be fixed tomorrow Monday, 12th June 2017.
