We will shut down NIMASA H.Q - IYC
Yenagoa: The IYC ogobiri mein clan has threatened to mobilise massively and storm the headquarters of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), over neglection of the proposed Institute of Maritime studies for Niger Delta university (NDU), Bayelsa state.
According to the clan chairman, Comr. Owei fano, he lamented that since the emergence of Chief dakuku as DG, all works in the said site were suspended, meanwhile, all other NIMASA projects in other states are steadily in progress.
The chairman wondered why the DG would halt the only project in Bayelsa, but still going ahead with projects in other states, he stated that he was fully aware that funds have already been allocated for the completion of the project that would serve as an institution of human and mental development for Ijaw youths, but yet the project is left abandoned.
He lastly called on the DG, to as a matter of urgency, mobilise contractors to get back to site immediately, threatening that failure to fast track the project would lead to Ijaw youths storming the NIMASA headquarters to officially protest their displeasure.
