TIMAYA BEGS POLITICIANS TO HAVE MERCY ON NIGERIANS.
Popular Nigerian dancehall star, Inetimi Alfred Odon, better known as Timaya, has used his new song, ‘Pity 4 Us’, to address politicians and challenge Nigerians.
At a time when the economy is upside down, more and more artists have realized the power of their voice and are beginning to voice their opinion more, Timaya is the latest artist to do so.
The singer has released a song titled “Pity 4 Us”, where he pleads with Nigeria’s leaders to have mercy on those who voted them in and try to alleviate our suffering. Timaya insinuates that the leaders know exactly what to do to get us out of the mess that we are in and encourages them to have the courage to do it.
It’s a touching message, the pop star shared the inspiration behind it on Instagram:
“I can’t exactly sit and act like everything is going well in this country. Had to do something the best way I know how #IstandWithNigeria We need a REAL change!”
Timaya first started his career as a social justice warrior who used music as his rod and shield, great to hear him return to his original messaging and give all the booty-shaking music a break.
