IYC CENTRAL ZONE, CLAN CHAIRMEN AND PARLIAMENTARIANS CONGRATULATES NEWLY ELECTED IYC LEADERSHIP, COMMENDS UDENGS FOR SUCCESSFUL CONVENTION.

The critical organs of IYC Central zone, the zonal executives, the clans and the parliaments humbly wishes to congratulate the newly elected Executive of the Ijaw youths council (IYC), led by Barr. Eric Omare as President, on their successful election and victory into council leadership to pilot the affairs of Ijaw youths worldwide.

In a statement signed by all clan Chairmen, all parliamentarians, all zonal executives, they stated unequivocally that the emergence of this Executives marks a new Dawn for the Ijaw Nation and a triumphant entry into actualizing the dreams of Late Major Isaac Jasper Adaka Boro.

They therefore advise the newly elected leadership to focus it's torchlight on uniting the different warring factions in council, providing employments for youths, recovering Ijaw lost territories, promoting peace in the region and bringing about infrastructural developments in all Ijaw communities.

The organs further expressed their appreciation to the Udengs led leadership for ensuring a free, fair and credible elections, for being articulate, vibrant and making the council to gain more acceptance in other Nations (legitimacy), they lastly wish him well in all his future endeavours and prayed the Almighty God to reward him for his meritorious and selfless leadership for Ijaw people.

The statement was signed onbehalf of the various organs by the following persons:

• Comr. Doupere fadah  (Coordinator of central zone parliament)

• Comr.  Torutein Oki Isiya  (Chairman of all clan Chairmen, IYC central zone)

They maintained that the newly elected leadership led by Barr. Eric Omare as President, remains valid pending when their tenure expires in March 2020.

They newly elected leadership was elected following an elective convention held at Burutu, Delta State in March 2nd 2017 by the Oscar Isu led Eleco.

The convention was largely attended by all zonal structures, ranging from executives, clan Chairmen and parliamentarians of council.
