Tension as NDU ASUU to join Nationwide strike
Strike tension has gripped the students of Niger Delta University in Amassoma, following the statement from the National Body of the Academic staff union of Universities (Asuu) on Monday, where it said it would embark on a one week warning strike due to federal government negligence to attend to their demands.
The situation got worse on Tuesday 15th November 2016, when the Niger Delta University chapter made a public statement calling for a general congress of all its members to discuss on bothering issues.
According to our findings, the chapter is set to tow the path of the National Body and join in the strike, this is what is intended to be discussed in the called congress.
Meanwhile Students have began to lament considering the recent NDU asuu strike that lasted for about four months disrupting all lecture activities and causing a serious setback in the institution academic calendar
The ASUU NDU Congress is to hold today Tuesday 15th November 2016 at the university's Auditorium by 12 noon.
