INTRODUCTION

The Ijaw culture over the years have been seen witnessing some constraint as when it comes to it being practiced by the present generation. More specifically the rapid decline of the different ijaw dialects due to the inability of some social institutions such as the family, community etc to educate the young ones to speak the language.

Alas, the culture of the ijaw speaking people of the Niger Delta cannot be allowed to die hence the Mr. & Miss Izon-Ebe pageantry which seeks to revive and reposition the ijaw culture.

OBJECTIVES OF MR & MISS IZON-EBE

• Promoting and showcasing the culture of the Izon nation

• Fostering unity among youths of the Izon nation

• Educating Izon youths about our cultural practices

• To remove the mindset of the Izon youth from violence and other social vices that are enimical towards the survival of the Izon nation

REQUIREMENTS

Any Izon youth between the ages of 18 – 35

Contestants must possess their local government identification letters which will be used as identification

Contestants will have to pay a form fee of #3,500 to the stated account on the form.

Contestants are also advised to come to the audition venue with a copy of the application form and a bank teller for verification.

After downloading the application form should be sent alongside a copy of the teller to an email address.

The event will also feature Presentation of Awards to Prominent Ijaw leaders who have served the Ijaw Nation with all their hearts.
