YENAGOA RESIDENTS LAUDS DEP. GOV'S BROTHER, AS 640KM ROAD CONSTRUCTION COMMENCES

• Advises well meaning Bayelsans to follow suit and not rely on government.

YENAGOA: Residents of Opolo-epie community in Yenagoa local government area of Bayelsa state, along the new commissioner's quarter layout, were thrown into wide jubilation as the younger brother to the Bayelsa State Deputy Governor, Prince Gabriel Jonah, The Otita 1, and Leader of the Restoration Youth Wing, Nembe  Constituency 1, embarked on a 640km road construction, as gift to ease the movement of residents in the area to attract more development.

The project which is situated along the new commissioner's layout, would begin from the entrance and extend to the old commissioner's layout link road.

According to investigations, the need to embark on the project came as a result of constant plea from residents who had constantly lamented on turbulent  issues; adding that the inaccessibility of persons to their houses has costed them a lot including; flooding, robbery and damage of cars, etc.

In a bid to remedy the malady , Prince Gabriel Jonah singlehandedly keyed into the construction of the road and drainage. He stated "that service to society is his uttermost conscience , cause development is vital to human emancipation".

The ongoing construction has not just brought development to residents alone but has created massive job opportunities for individuals to work .Thereby, reducing the hike of unemployment in the society and the menace of dependency.

In appreciation, one Mrs Eniye Markson a shop owner  lauded the effort of Prince Gabriel Jonah, that ever since the beginning of the project, businesses has been moving, she also urged all well meaningful privileged Bayelsans to follow suit and not to completely rely on the institution of the state .

The road after construction will enhance developments in the area , like; building of residential structures, shops and other social buildings that will help  to make life better.
