Bayelsa: APC gets new replacement for sunny-goli

Following the November 16 Bayelsa gubernatorial Elections, the All progressives Congress has added a new member into the state house of assembly, from Brass constituency one.

The Election which was supposed to have been conducted in February 23, 2019, was declared inconclusive.

A supplementary poll which was to be held on March 23, 2019, was aborted by a court order in a suit filed by the PDP candidate, Mrs. Preye Brodrick against INEC.

After series of litigation and following a court directive, INEC reportedly decided to conduct the elections alongside the November 16 guber polls.

Bodmasnewstv.com discovered that the supplementary elections which held in polling units 11-16; units 1-10 and 17 to 21 of Ward 6 in Brass Constituency 1, saw the APC candidate, Mr. Daniel Charles emerging winner.

The result of the entire constituency collated and declared by INEC, was in favour of the APC, who had defeated the PDP.

Mr. Daniel Charles, will be taking over from his predecessor, Hon. Israel sunny-goli, who has now been elected member representing Nembe-Brass Federal constituency.

Though he is yet to be confirmed by the state house of assembly, which is yet to sit since the Election.

The emergence of Mr. Daniel has increased the members of APC in the state house of assembly from 4 to 5, while the PDP still has 19.
