Bayelsa east senatorial election: SAN joins race, promises quality representation
As the heat to the Bayelsa 2019 elections draw closer, the people of Bayelsa East Senatorial, would have an array of choice to make when they go to the poll to elect their representative at the Red Chambers.
A Senior Advocate of Nigeria SAN,Barrister Biriyai Dambo, has also indicated his interests to contest.
The well respected SAN who is currently seeking the ticket on the platform of the People's Democratic Party PDP, has already commenced consultations among party's stakeholders in his senatorial district.
Dambo in a chat with Royal FM Samuel Michael, shortly after paying a courtesy visit on the Caucus Chairman of the People's Democratic Party in Nembe Local Government Area, Dr. Allen George Fente , a former executive chairman
of Nembe Local Government Area and political icon, Chief Koroghofa Walter-Benwari and representatives of the Opu-Nembe council chiefs as well as the regent of Opu-Nembe, Chief Ikaonaworio Eferebo-Igoma at different fora in the state.
Dambo informed that, he has come to bridge the existing gap in the constituency with quality and purposeful representation, backed by integrity, stressing that with strong synergy between him and other senators if elected , would achieved desired goals for the electorates.
The Senatorial hopeful notes that the office of the senator requires a distinguished personality and not one that is disconnected with the needs of his constituency, stressing that the calibers and personality of legislators, who represents the state at the federal level matters a lot.
Dambo,also lauded the Governor Seriake led restoration government for the various reforms in the state and promised to contribute immensely in ensuring that the restoration government is effectively projected at the federal level if given the mandate.
