Brass council boss aide arrested in relations to kidnapping in the LGA.

Information reaching our news desk reveals that a suspect identified as Mr Loveday Digighabofa a.k.a Sayi, a security aide to the Brass council boss, Hon. Victor Isaiah, and Chairman of Twon Brass action committee, has been apprehended for crimes relating to kidnappings and sea-piracy.

Hon. Victor Isaiah, Brass caretaker chairman, had named Loveday Digighabofa, as Chairman Twon Brass Action committee, to handle cases of crime and maintain peace in the area.

But Loveday was said to have ran out of luck, after he fell into the hands of security forces few days back.

Also, in recent times, the once peaceful Brass has been plagued with kidnapping, thuggery, sea-piracy and other heinous crimes, unlike the peace and serenity it enjoyed under the leadership of the former chairperson, Hon. Bello Bina.

It could also be recalled that high profiled personalities from the LGA, were recently kidnapped and released after payment of huge ransomes.

A former commissioner of Transport in the state, Mrs. Marie Ebikake, was also a victim amongst others.

Following the appointment of Isaiah, the people of Brass had earlier protested against the Governor's decision, they decried that Isaiah was not fit and incompetent to man affairs of the LGA, but despite their cries, the Governor maintained his decision.

While Mr. Loveday was first in custody, sources disclosed that forces close to the caretaker chairman influenced his release.

But it was later gathered that because of the overwhelming evidence against him, he was re-arrested and has been transfered to the state capital.

Attempts to confirm the arrest from Bayelsa Police public relations officer, Asinim butswat proved abortive, as all communications were down.
