THERE WILL BE NO HIDING PLACE FOR CRIMINALS IN BAYELSA STATE - OGEDE

The Bayelsa State Vigilante Service says, it will not fold its arms and watch criminal youths from within and outside wreck havoc in any part of the state capital, all with the intention to perpetrate crimes in order to discredit the policy thrust of the Restoration government.

Evangelist Parkins Ogede, Chairman, Bayelsa State Vigilante Service, dropped the hint while exchanging view with newsmen shortly after addressing coordinators of various local government areas of the service in his office in Yenagoa.

He said, since Governor Dickson has approved the takeoff of its full operations, there will be no hidding place for criminal elements in any part of the state, pointing out that, arrangements are in top gear to raids various flash points to avoid breakdown of law and order.

The state vigilante boss further explained that, since government has kick started the process of enumerating various criminal hideouts within the state capital, the sledge hammer of government will not spare anyone found culpable of complicity, especially landlords who harbours criminals under the guise of tenant .

While assuring the governor of a crime free state in 2018, Evangelist Ogede enjoined youths not to engaged in acts capable of truncating the existing peace, as anyone caught will be made to face the full music of the law.

Meanwhile, the Ekeremor Local Government Area Coordinator of the Bayelsa State Vigilante Service, Comrade Kuro Robert, has condemned in strong terms the recent explosion rockg oil facilities belonging to Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria in the Azagbene axis of the state.

Comrade Kuro Robert said this while addressing newsmen shortly after paying an unscheduled visit to Evangelist Parkins Ogede, Chairman, Bayelsa State Vigilante Service in his office in Yenagoa.

He described the attacks as barberic, unfortunate and an attempt to undermine the existing peace in the area, used the medium to call on security agencies to fishout those involved in the dastartly acts to face the full weight of the law.

Comrade Kuro, who doubles as the Vice President of Bayelsa Youth Federation (BAYOF), enjoined management of SPDC to without further delay engage youths in Azagbene community for the purpose of securing their facilities to avoid further reoccurrence.

Comrade Kuro explained that, the issues which culminated the unwarranted attacks on the SPDC's facilities three days a go would have been avoided if the youths from Azagbene were actively involved in the pipelines surveillance job.

He noted that, since no responsible government will fold its arms and watch youths carry out such dastardly acts, inimical to the policy thrust of Governor Dickson, called on youths in Ekeremor local government not to take the laws into their hands.
