THE CROSS OVER NIGHT MASSACRE: Lessons to Churches
THE CROSS OVER NIGHT MASSACRE: Lessons to Churches
31st night, popularly called Cross Over Night would forever remain memorable in the hearts of many especially the families who lost their loved ones. That night; no candle, olive oil, stickers, prayers could save them but a little wisdom from our churches could have saved them.
No reason is good enough to justify crime. People should be free to walk around anytime whether day or night. However, it is unfortunate that our society is just bit better than the Thomas Hobbes' hypothetical "State of Nature". Consequently, the individual and churches must apply wisdom to avert a reoccurrence of this sad tale. After all, it said that WISDOM IS THE PRINCIPAL THING.
Now, lets reason together. You would agree with me that these evil men in our society are nocturnal beings. The night is their day therefore crime rate is at the peak mostly from 7p.m to 5a.m. Churches should simply tell their members to come to Church by 6p.m latest and close by 6a.m in the morning. If you do this, In fact, you must have praised God well and saved your life also. Someone would say, we need to close early and come back to church in the morning for New Year service. I ask, what is the need, how many services do you want to conduct a day? For crying out loud, you closed past 12 a.m and it's already New Year morning so you have already done your new service. Simply start by 6p.m and close by 6a.m. No need for another morning service.
Alternatively, let everyone pray in their houses during Cross Over nights and come to church on New Morning.
This applies to Church programs. God does not only answer at Night! Conduct revival services, Crusades etc during the day but if it must be at night, let it close by latest 7p.m or last till 6a.m.
WISDOM IS STILL THE PRINCIPAL OF THE BIGGEST SCHOOL NAMED LIFE AND IT WONT CHANGE ANYTIME SOON (Dengiyefa Angalapu)
May God grant the departed everlasting rest and a place in HIS Kingdom.
