GUNMEN ADDUCTS SOLDIER IN BAYELSA WATERWAYS, ATTACK PASSENGER BOAT.

A facebook user, Isedirikonghen Ebi Alhaji, reported few minutes ago, how gunmen suspected to be Militants, laid seige on a passenger boat, on it's way to Yenagoa from Southern Ijaw Local government area, around the Foropa - Gbaraun route, and abducted a soldier of the Nigerian Army attached to the foropa military checkpoint.

His post reads:

JUST IN;

AGAIN, GUNMEN ATTACK PASSENGER BOAT, SHOT DRIVER, ABDUCT SOLDIER.

Reports just reaching me that a 115horse power passengers speedboat;
PRAISE MARINE, coming to Yenagoa from Foropa Community has been attacked by yet to be identified gunmen around Gbaraun Community in Southern Ijaw LGA, Bayelsa State, South-South, Nigeria.

According to source, a woman and one ROTIMI>>> a soldier from the Nigerian Army attached to the Foropa Military Checkpoint were the only passengers on the ill fated boat.

Meanwhile, reports says the gunmen shot the driver severally, removed the engine and kidnapped the Soldier, Mr. Rotimi and drove off, leaving the the woman and the driver behind.

All efforts to chat with the driver for first hand information about the ugly incident is not yet successful, as he is said to be in an undisclosed trado-medical practitioner to remove the bullets inside him.

You could recall that in December, 2017, Azuzuama Passenger boat was attacked within the Gbaraun area, an attack that left three passengers hospitalized with various degrees of gunshot injuries while the gunmen made away with the boat loaded with goods worth millions of naira, including my alligator meat.
