ADEGBE-FESTIVAL: AWAKENING THE SPIRIT OF LOVE, CHARITY AND COMPASSION AMONGST US. ON 26TH NOV. 2017 @AMASSOMA.

" True love love is selfless, it wants nothing for itself, love your neighbour as you love thyself"

The Ijaws of Niger Delta are a highly spiritual Nation, festivals are at the heart of people’s lives in Ijawland. This festival offers a unique way of seeing the Ijaw culture at its best. The Adegbe festival is aimed at promoting the Ijaw culture of Love, brotherliness and compassion for each other.

Adegbe Festival of Love comes up 26th November 2017 at Amassoma community, foro-Ama, at the Temple of Adegbe at Exactly 10am prompt.

Adegbe in Ijaw means one who offers charitable services, it is the Divinity (Arch-Angel) of Love, charity and compassion, it teaches it's adherents to be humanitarians and philanthropists, as a means of alleviating poverty, promoting equality, emotional peace and restoring social disorder.

In my earlier piece "Egbesu Worship:Path to True Salvation", i stated BELIEF IN ORU, as one of the beliefs of Egbesu adherents, ORU is an Ijaw word translating to mean in English as "Divine Spirit", Orus are therefore the thoughts, powers, qualities and messengers or children of God (Woyingi), with certain functions or attributes.

Adegbe is Love, God (Woyingi) is Love, if you see Adegbe you have seen God, in Christiandom he is the same as Archangel Chamuel. Chamuel is believed to be the unnamed angel who comforted Christ in Jerusalem's Garden of Gethsemane just before he was arrested, Adegbe's purpose is to bring peace to the world and as such he protects the world from fear and lowers vibrating, negative energies. He is believed to have all knowing vision seeing the interconnectedness between all things.

Adegbe assists us in finding the strength and courage to face adversity when it seems we have none left. He can also help to find items that are lost, to find important parts of our lives such as life purpose, a love relationship, a new job, and supportive friendships, and to provide solutions to our problems. Adegbe also helps to heal anxiety, bring peace, protection, guidance and to repair relationships and misunderstandings.

Adegbe's teaching of Love is practically in all religious teachings as the most potent creative and healing force in the universe. It cannot be emphasized enough that God is love.

The encounter of this Divine Spirit with the ijaw people of Ogboin dates back to a century ago through a man from Amassoma called "TATAI", the origin and history will be told to those who will be in attendance.

All sons, daughters, believers and lovers of Ijaw Nation are invited.

Betrayal, backbiting, hatred, jealousy, vengeance and wickedness to each other is now the order of the day, let us fellowship together in Spirit of Adegbe, to remind us of the Love, brotherliness and unity we once shared as a people.

In these trying and challenging times, unity and love, is the way to rebuild the Ijaw Nation of our dreams.

The Festival will be officiated by the Chief Priest of Adegbe, Oyeintari Agusi.

Come and be a part of God's blessings.
