DOUYE KOROYE APPOINTED AS SECRETARY, BAYELSA VOLUNTEERS.

Douye Koroye from Sagbama local Government area, has been appointed as Secretary of the Bayelsa state volunteer, a youth security outfit of the State Government.

Mr. Douye Koroye is to replace Evang. Perkins Ogede who was recently appointed to serve as chairman of the Bayelsa state Vigilante Network.

Before this time, Mr. Douye Koroye was a former special assistant on student affairs to the Governor, and SSA on grassroot mobilization.

Meanwhile, in a statement to newsmen, Mr. Atti J. Moses, the administrative secretary of the Nigerian Youths Parliament (south-south caucus), who also doubles as a senior special assistant to the Bayelsa Governor on students affairs, has felicitated with Mr. Douye on his new appointments, describing it as square peg in a round hole.

Mr. Atti, described Douye as a man with good track record who has performed tremendously well in his previous positions, expressing confidence in the appointment, stating that Mr. Douye has the requisite to deliver in such capacity.

Atti commended the Bayelsa state Governor, Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson, for entrusting such a high profiled position to one of their own, adding that the students in the state were grateful.

Atti further called on all youths in state, security agencies and corporate body to work hand in hand with the new secretary, whom he believes would transform the volunteer service and initiate new positive ideas.

" i am confident in douye, he has what it takes, i therefore appeal to all youths bodies, students group and corporate bodies to embrace the development initiatives to be initiated by the new secretary, i believe he is here to make a change for us all", he added.
