24year NDU Undergraduate, Indicates to run for Bayelsa State Assembly, to represent Ogbia const. 1.
An indigene from the hometown of former President Goodluck Jonathan, a 24year old undergraduate of Political science from the Bayelsa state owned Niger Delta University (NDU), Comr. Damini Clever Idumesaro, has indicated interest to contest as member representing Ogbia Constituency 1, in the Bayelsa legislative arm of the state.
Comr. Damini popularly called "fifty", because of his resemblance with popular American rapper, Curtis Jackson 'fifty cent', hails from Otuabadi, Ward 12 in Ogbia local government area.
Damini seems to be the first youth in his twenties to indicate his ambition for the Bayelsa state legislative seat since inception of the state.
Damini is the incumbent Director of social, Niger Delta University student union Government, who via student activism, has continued to clamour for the welfare of students and others.
Speaking with Bodmas Kemepadei in an interview, Damini revealed that he was on a revolutionary journey of #nottooyoung to lead campaign, aimed at giving leadership responsibilities to young minds.
According to him, he said, it was time youths of the state and all over the Nation, wake up and present themselves for service at the highest political office.
On his proposed plans for the people, he outlined, Education, health-care, ICT, Agriculture, Job creation, Electricity and infrastructural development.
Damini was the pioneer director of contact and mobilisation, NIDSUG, Ndu chapter, a one time Director of social, faculty of social sciences (NDU), one time financial secretary, National Union of Ogbia students worldwide, a one time chairman, Ward 12 South-South patriotic movement.
Damini has been in the fore front of youths and students activism in the state.
He said he is poised, determined and ready to take the lead.
