IYC: OGBIA LEADERS WITHDRAWS OZU, NAMES TEMPLE AGADA AS ELECO REP FOR OGBIA LGA

COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE END OF  A CRUCIAL STAKEHOLDERS MEETING OF THE IJAW YOUTHS COUNCIL  (IYC) CENTRAL ZONE, INVOLVING ELDERS, PROMINENT LEADERS, YOUTHS PRESIDENTS OF THE VARIOUS COMMUNITIES IN OGBIA KINGDOM, AND LEADERS OF COMMUNITY BASED ORGANISATION  (CBO'S), ON MONDAY 21ST AUGUST, 2017, AT IMIRINGI COMMUNITY, IN KOLO CREEK CLAN OF OGBIA KINGDOM.

At the end of the meeting which deliberated extensively on the malfeasances of the ogbia representative in the clan electoral committee, Mr. Captain Ozu, his penchants for fermenting   crisis where there ought to be none and his ignoble role in subverting the will of the people of the zone, amongst other sundry issues.

The following resolutions were taken:

(1).  That the ogbia people sees the Ijaw youths council as a congregation of all interests, affiliations and tendencies, and therefore those that are saddled with the responsibility of leading the council at any level should reasonably manage these diversities for the good of Ijaw Nation and the prosperity of her people.

(2). That the representative of the ogbia peoole in the clan electoral nominee of the IYC in the central zone, Mr. Captain Ozu, is a purveyor of violence who while as factional Secretary 2, because of his activities, the ogbia people lost a promising young man and he is using his position to generate crisis across all clans in Ogbia Kingdom and other clans across the zone. In this light, he has been formally withdrawn as a representative of the ogbia people and in his stead, Elder Temple Tantua Adaga, has been unanimously accepted to represent the ogbia people.

(3). That the ogbia people appreciate the untiring efforts of the political leader of Ijaw Nation, His Excellency, Hon. Seriake Dickson, in ensuring that the Ijaw youths Council  (IYC) assumes a pride of place in the community of youths involvements in the Niger Delta and the Nation at large.

(4). That the Ogbia people are satisfied with leadership prowess so far exhibited by the National leadership of IYC, especially the President, Barr. Oweilaemi Pere-Otubo and the National Secretary, Comr. Alfred Kemepado, urging them to put in their best for the services of the Ijaw Nation.

(5). That the Ogbia Nation will continue to to support the vision of the restoration government, ably led by the contriman Governor, Hon. Seriake Dickson in his quest to take Bayelsa state and the Ijaw Nation to an enviable height.

(6). That we call on the National leadership of the IYC, the zonal leadership, the clan electoral committee, the security intelligence community and the state government to be aware of the position which is a true reflection of the Ogbia people in the Ogbia Kingdom, on the removal of Captain Ozu as a representative of the Ogbia people, in the clan electoral committee.

(7). That we vehemently state, that Captain Ozu's presence is a breach on the security of the Ogbia people, that may further bring calamities, therefore he has been withdrawn in the interest of peace and tranquility and has been replaced with the aforementioned name, Temple Tantua Adaga.
