IYC CENTRAL ZONE ELECTIONS: ASPIRANT APPRECIATES DELEGATES, AS  ABUA/ODUAL/ENGENNI LOSES OUT.

YENAGOA - A secretary Aspirant in Just concluded Ijaw youths council Elections in central zone, Comr. Sokari G. Sokari, has appreciated delegates who stood by him for their resilience, alleging that he was shortchanged and manipulated

Comr. Sokari hails from Engenni/Ogbogolo of Ahoada West LGA, in rivers state, he is the immediate past assistant secretary of the zone, and was an Aspirant in the just concluded central zonal Elections under the electoral committee of Evang. Perkins Ogede.

In a press briefing in Yenagoa, shortly after the election, Sokari particularly appreciated delegates who voted for him.

He maintained that although the Eleco did not declare him winner, he believes firmly that he won the election.

Sokari, who is the outgoing Assistant Secretary of the zone, decried that he was shortchanged and manipulated by so many persons who he would allow fate to settle with

According to him, he will come up with a final decision when he has reverted back to his people, adding that they prompted him to contest for the position.

His words: "I want to use this medium to sincerely appreciate all those who stood by me against all odds; especially the delegates who voted for me because they find me a worthy candidate to serve the Council. For me I won the election. I was just shortchanged and manipulated, but I still give thanks to God.

In few days I'll relate back to the clans in Engenni/Ogbogolo of Ahoada West LGA and the Abua/Odual LGA  of Rivers State. Then we will come  up with  a decision. It has never been a personal race, I was sent by my people and I will revert back to them ", he added.
