BREAKING NEWS. ANOTHER LAWMAKER IN BAYELSA, DEFECTS FROM LABOUR TO PDP.

In what was termed as shocking, Bodmasnewsblog.com has just received reports that another lawmaker in BAYELSA, at the occasion of the special end of 2nd session sitting of the house, Hon. Munalayefa Edward Gibson, has announced his defection from the Labour Party (LP) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

His defection came few days after a lawmaker of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Bayelsa state, Hon. Ebiye Tarabina, representing Kolokuma Opokuma constitutuency-2 defected to People's Democratic Party (PDP) on 4th July 2017.

According to the reports, the defection letter was transmitted to the honorable speaker via the clerk, notifying the house of Gibson's resolved to quit his former party.

Following his defection, the PDP now has 22 out of the 24 honourable members in the Bayelsa State House of assembly.

His defection was unanimously accepted.

The lawmaker represents OGBIA CONSTITUENCY 2 in the state house of Assembly.

Members in the opposition left in the house are from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
