Food corruption in Nigeria

There is a certain kind of corruption carried out by those in charge of refreshments in almost all Nigerian occasion.

The celebrant, the government, church or organization will a contract some cooks for 500 persons. The cooks will ask for 500k when the actual prize is 200k. So in this first stage there is 300k gain already.

Second stage, they go to the market with 200k and decides using 100k only. There is another gain of 100k

Third stage. While cooking they decide to keep some of the fresh meat, onions, pepper, fish and whatever for themselves. About 30k worth of the 100k food items goes this way.

Fourth stage. The food is cooked but each cook brought a small cooler. They help themselves before they begin packing the food

Fifth stage. The food is packed. 300 below-standard foods in plastic packs ready to be shared to a crowd of 500. They start sharing, looking at each person for familiarity before they give out a plate. When the've shared 200 and 100 is left in the bag, they decide to keep that 100 to themselves

Go to their houses days later and it would smell of spoilt food.

This happens with our commonwealth as well.
