I AM COMING TO RESCUE IYC, SAYS ENDORO OWEIKEYE PATH.

Portharcourt- A foremost Niger-Delta environmental activist and a frontline Presidential aspirant in the forthcoming Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Unity Convention, Comr. Endoro Oweikeye Path said he has come to return IYC to its original mandate of our founding fathers for Self-Determination, Resource control,True Federalism and rapid sustainable development of the Ijaw Nation in the Niger-Delta into an economically prosperous, socially stable,ecologically regenerative and politically peaceful area if elected.

Speaking to Niger-Delta Mirror reporter, Oyinbi Onduku at Obuama Kalabari Kingdom in Degema LGA.Rivers State,today 2nd April 2017,Comr. Oweikeye said he will build a more united IYC to confront our darkest challenges where the opinions of everyone will be respected and a functional executive where the functions of each office will be clearly defined.

Comr.Endoro said he will revigorate the ideals of Kaiama Declaration in 1998 to the current challenges facing Ijaw nation to the federal government and multi-national Oil company's operating in the Niger-Delta region to do the needful for the people.

Comr. Oweikeye asserts that the mandate he seek from all sons and daughters of Ijaw Nation is to  magnify and dignify the sanctity of Kaiama Declaration,to build a united IYC and Ijaw Nation,to eliminate division in the National IYC Executive,to constructively engaged the government and private sectors for the development of Ijaw community's , to entrench a leadership pattern reflecting the core Ijaw cultural values and to create employment for the youths,girl child education and provision of scholarship for undergraduates in the tertiary institutions etc.

Comr. Endoro further reminded Ijaw youths that our struggle for Self-determination have suffered some major setback due to self centred leaders and disunity in the Ijaw Nation. He therefore urged Ijaw youths to make a right decision now for a better tomorrow.
