BAYELSA BALL JOGGLER SETS NEW RECORD BY CLIMBING ABOUT 262FT HIGH WITH BALL BALANCED ON HEAD.
YENAGOA: The Bayelsa born ball Joggler, Tonye Solomon aka Deeboi, has today set a new world record of climbing to the highest peak of about 262ft high with the football balanced on his head.
On August 2016, he broke the Guinness book of world record as regards to “The Greatest Distance Travelled With the Football Balanced On The head”, by walking over 80km, with a football on his head, from Amassoma (the home of late Alamieyeseigha) to Yenagoa (Bayelsa capital).
Tonye who had earlier hinted the public on his move noted that he was out to make history and make his fellow Ijaw people proud by doing what no other has done in history of the world.
He therefore called on well meaning Nigerians to come out and witness as he embarks on the historical journey.
As expected, Tonye arrived at the venue, Akienpai School, Yenagoa, Bayelsa state, at an old abandoned telecommunication mast of about 262ft high, he began his journey with so much zeal and readiness. He successfully completed the task by climbing high and also coming down with the football balanced on his head.
Tonye hails from Okordia/zarama in Yenagoa local government area of the state, home of popular comedian turn politician, Mr. Mike Ogbolosingha.
The incident occured on 8th of April 2017 at about 7 - 10am.
