Kemi Olunloyo Granted Bail

Blogger and daughter of Former Oyo State Governor, Kemi Olunloyo has been granted bail this afternoon after being remanded at the Portharcourt prison. She was arrested and subsequently arraigned in court two weeks ago for allegedly defaming Pastor David Ibiyeomie of Salvation Ministries.

She was later transferred to the Portharcourt Prison pending a bail hearing for 29th of March. She however did not meet her bail conditions till this afternoon.

According to a source, a popular politician stood for her while the bail was granted. The source who did not mention the politician’s name said that after the bail is met, Olunloyo will currently take a flight to Lagos. She will be heading for her home in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The bail bond was N200,000 with a property in River State.

Olunloyo is known for her wild remarks online. She had many times accused celebrities of using ‘Black Magic’ to acquire wealth. Last year, she accused popular actor, Jide Kosoko for using her late wife Henrietta Kosoko for ‘money rituals.
