Ayah cautions multinationals to create employment opportunities for Indigenes in Spirit of fairness & Equity
The Bayelsa state government, has described as worrisome and unthinkable the spate of unemployment of Bayelsans by multinational companies despite their genuine qualifications to meet every standard in their operations.
Special Adviser to the governor on Oil & Gas, Mr. Felix Bonny Ayah, made this known when the leadership of the Niger Delta Youth Orientation Drive, a coalition of various Ijaw youths, who paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Yenagoa.
He said, government will continue to give analysis of unemployed youths and review the level of employments, stressing that, from the analysis so- far, it is discovered that, non- indigenes have gained more employment chances in the state, despite their educational qualifications, skills and manpower.
Mr. Bonny Ayah, who used the medium to cautioned multinational companies to have a change of heart, pointing out that, henceforth, it will not hesitate to call such erring IOC's to order for the sake of fairness, justice and equity.
To achieve this, the Special Adviser opined that, critical stakeholders in the oil & gas industry are expected to join hands together in prayers, in order to overcome the demonic manipulation that is eating deep into the fabrics of the society.
While appreciating the youths for their visit, he assure them of government continue supports.

Mr. Okologo Joseph and Godor Brume who spoke on behalf of the Niger Delta Youth Orientation Drive, appreciated the Special Adviser for his creativity in solving issues arising from disputes resolution, but appealed with government to come to their aids.
