FG negotiating with those who destroyed the amnesty programme - Militants raises alarm, states conditions for peace.

A group of coalition of freedom fighters in the troubled oil rich region of Niger Delta who identified themselves as Niger Delta Heart vokers has made an open statement warning the federal government to stop communication with those they are currently discussing with as it will yield no result rather it will only add salt to the injuries by aggravating the current situation.

In a statement made by the group’s spokesman who identified himself as General Foreign, he stated categorically that the reason why the amnesty programme has failed was because of corrupt and bad leaders who had selfish purposes rather than the overall interest of their respected communities.

According to him " It is a pity that the FG has not learnt a bit, the same persons who fmr. President Jonathan appointed to salvage the sufferings of Niger Delta but failed in their services are now the same persons who have constituted themselves as a team to negotiate peace with Buhari, these persons are not even intouch with the grassroot, these are persons who have lived in Abuja all their lives, as they did before they are here again to milk President Muhammadu Buhari.

These are people who collected various community development contracts but could not execute any, living their towns in pitiable conditions.

President Muhammadu Buhari should immediately steer clear from them and move down to the affected region by himself and host a meeting with the affected people, with this, peace would be certain".

The group further demanded the release of some of their colleagues arrested by the federal government on one Trump up charge or the other, naming, Gen. Jackson, Daddy Ololo amongst others.

The spokesman stated that if the FG can sincerely carry out the above, peace would return to the region and warned that if the FG is bent to continue negotiating with the wrong persons then it will only gets worse.
