Port-Harcourt to Lagos vehicle catches fire along Eastwest road, Mother and child burnt to death

A Vehicle with Rivers plate number PHC-723HK caught fire and burnt to ashes today Monday 7th 2016, along the EAST-WEST ROAD some footsteps away to Opokuma Junction.

According to reports, the vehicle was coming from Port-Harcourt and heading to Lagos at about 11:54pm, when one of the passengers noticed a burst on the fuel tank, the passenger compelled the driver to stop the vehicle which he vehemently refused, suddenly he crashed into the bush path, and the whole vehicle caught fire, the passengers about 14 in the Vehicle were unable to make it out as all doors were jammed.

One of the survivors who spoke to Bodmasnews.com, narrated how he continously compelled the driver to stop the vehicle after he noticed the fuel tank was leaking, he said the driver refused but rather increased his speed, which he later crash landed in the bush path where the vehicle caught fire.

As at the time of filing this reports, a woman, about 6months old baby, 4years old boy, a man of about 34 years have been burnt beyond recognition, others who have also been badly burnt have been rushed to Kaiama Hospital.
