IYC PARTNERS NUIS TO HOST MISS IZON-IBE EVENT, SAYS IT WILL TAME VICES, AS IT PLEDGES LAPTOP, CASH FOR WINNERS.

The President of the Izon-ibe students union, Comr. Seifere Douye saviour and the Organising committee of the Miss Izon-Ibe cultural pageant, led by the Director of Socials, National Union of Izon-Ibe students (NUIS) Worldwide, Rotr. Bodmas P. Kemepadei, in entourage of the contestants paid a Courtesy visit to the Secretariat of the Ijaw youths council (IYC) Worldwide.

The President of the Ijaw youths council (IYC) Worldwide, Engr. Udengs Eradiri welcomed the contestants, he advised them to always uphold the sacred values of Ijaw people and not to engage in activities that may tarnish or dent the Ijaw image, he spoke specifically on Cultism and it's ills, he explained that Cultism is one element that is destroying the integrity of organisations in Izonland, he therefore warned the contestants to always be good of coduct by becoming peace ambassadors of izon nation, to always exhibit characters worthy of emulation.

Speaking on the Importance of the Event, Rotr. Bodmas P. Kemepadei gave a lengthy speech in Explaining about the event.

"The essence of the entire program is to highlight a coming of age of the Izon nation as well as underlining an obvious intellectual renaissance. Aside the pageantry, there will be music, drama, panel discussions, comedy, cultural performances, lectures, paper presentation and lots more, all fine-tuned towards unveiling a more vibrant Izon nation.

Furthermore, it is our belief that Mr/Miss Izon-ibe crown winners will stand as ambassadors that will be role models to up-coming teenagers in izon communities/higher institutions of learning". He also added.

The President further pledged to donate laptop to winners, help contestants to aquire skills and to secure some cash and Scholarships for them.

In conclusion, speaking on behalf of the contestants, miss Valerie SERIBOH Ebiere, applauded the President for his vibrancy and wisdom in piloting the affairs of Ijaw people, she prayed God grace and guidance continue to be with him.

The event is Scheduled to hold 9th of December at Matho Crystal Hotel, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State under the distinguished chairmanship of Amb. Preye Ekpebide, the C.E.O touching a life foundation.
