Buhari to ND Elders: Militants can't come to Aso Rock but can come to you so save yourselves.

It could be recalled that on the 1st of November, President Muhammadu Buhari met with leaders from the Niger Delta region to deliberate how they could put an end to the militancy activities in the region, which has crippled Nigeria's Economy to zero.

Our source who attended the said meeting revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari gave no assurances to the Leaders, but rather aggrevated the whole situation by telling them that he was not ready for any discussion until the leaders had agreed to reveal the location of the boys for apprehension by security operatives.

Our source further revealed, that Buhari accused the leaders of sponsoring the activities of the militants, stating that he had already received security reports concerning some of them before they came.

According to our source, Buhari categorically said nothing meaningful after the leaders had submitted their demands but rather told them, that he was not bothered by the activities of the militants group as he was fully protected by the army and a planned attack on him would not be successful, he therefore advised them in the interest of peace and national unity to locate the boys and tell them to cease fire, or they will one day be consumed by the activities of the militants.

Buhari was supposed to have read a statement written by Kachikwu addressing the Niger Delta problems, but he declined and threw the paper away, telling them what he had on his mind point blank.

Whereas the Stakeholders from the oil-rich region demanded that the region be included in the allocation and ownership of oil blocs in the country.

They said making Niger Deltans partakers in the exploitation of the black gold and implementation of 15 other demands will quicken efforts to ensure peace in the region.

The meeting was said not to have ended well, anger and bitterness was seen on almost all the faces who attended the meeting, little wonder, the President of the Ijaw youths council worldwide immediately after the meeting told aaljazeera that Buhari was not ready for peace.
