NUBSS SUSPENDS IT'S SENATE PRESIDENT, REINSTATE EXECUTIVES, TENDERS APOLOGY TO LEADERS

Yenagoa: The Senate council of the National Union of Bayelsa state Students  (NUBSS), on 17th day of October, held it's emergency plenary, where they unanimously passed a vote of no confidence on the Senate President and his Deputy, thereby suspending them on the allegations of misrepresentation, impersonation and gross contravention of the provisions of the Nubss constitution.

The Suspension letter was signed by 14 members of the Senate council, the letter also apologised to the Chairman, Bayelsa students management committee, Hon. Ebipatei Apaingolo and the Special adviser to the Bayelsa state Governor on students affairs, Hon. Austin Adigio, for an earlier statement from the suspended duo that tends to disrespect their offices.

The Senate council further reinstated the entire Nubss Executives and ordered the indicted officers to relinquish all Nubss properties within their position to the clerk of the House.

The Senate council therefore agreed that the following persons, are to be under acting capacity, pending when final conclusions are made, the acting persons are:

• Senator Walson Ebi Benjamin - Acting Senate President.

• Senator IPogi Daniel- Acting Deputy Senate President.

• Senator Forcados A. Willy -Acting Senate clerk.
