MR AND MISS IZON-IBE CULTURAL PAGEANT/IZON-IBE STUDENTS CULTURAL DAY: DISCOURAGING VICES AND FOSTERING UNITY VIA SOCIAL GATHERING.
The Anticipated Mr and Miss izon-ibe cultural pageant/Izon-Ibe students cultural day, will now hold on 9th December 2016 at Matho Crystal Hotel, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
Participation forms for interested contestants have been made free to all sons and daughters of Izon-Ibe courtesy of Hon. Osomkime Blankson (Egbedesue and utukpa of Famgbe in Epie/Atissa clan), the aim is to provide a platform for all to showcase their God given talents.
The Forms will be given to the various Nuis Chapter heads, Youths and Community leaders of the Izon-ibe, for dispersion to interested individuals.
The National Leadership of the union representing the Various Zones will Spearhead and oversee the entire Process.

Order of Event:
• Auditioning of Contestants will take place on November 8th - 11th 2016 at Ijaw House.
• Online Voting will commence from 21st Nov. - 6th December 2016.
• Camping of Contestants will Start From 3rd - 10th December 2016, Matho Crystal Hotel.
Camping activities will involve the following:
- Lecture on the Historical and Cultural Perspective of the Izon People, 3rd & 4th December
- Fishing/Canoe pulling/Essay Writing and Presentation 5th December
- Cooking, Starch making, and Firewood fetching 6th December
- Sights Seeing/ Izon language Singing Contest at Giano Karaoke Bar, 7th December
- Introduction to bead making, Igele tying and basket/Fishing net weaving, 8th December
- Main event, 9th December
- Departure of Contestants (representatives), 10th December
• Main Events holds 9th December by 4pm, red carpet opens 2:30pm, Matho Crystal Hotel. Main event will feature:
- Izon uge around Yenagoa metropolis
- Swimming competition/Anda Uge.
-Boat Regatta/Fishing contest
- NUIS Students cultural display
- NUIS students debate on "why unity is paramount to our growth".
- Lecture Presentation by Key Stakeholders.
- Cultural dance Performances by the different dialects in Izon-Ibe.
- Musical Performance by Barr. Smooth and others.
- Cultural Pageantry contest.
- And many more.
N/B: All Sons and daughters of Izon-Ibe are advised to pick Participation forms for themselves before Audition date.
