OBHAN EMEYAL WILL BE BETTER, EFERE DECLARES AS HE TAKES OATH OF OFFICE

- Barr. Turnah advises against using the council for Political parties activities.

OGBIA: Today 11th September 2016, the Newly Elected Executives of the OBHAN EMEYAL YOUTHS COUNCIL (OYC), to be led by Snr. Comr. Efere Azibator Tony were inaugurated and sworn into office.

The inauguration ceremony which took place at the royal palace of Hrm. King George A. Lawson (the OBHANOBAN 1 OF EMEYAL CLAN), Elebele, Ogbia Lga, Bayelsa state. He inaugurated the newly Elected officers and charged them to discharge their duties in fairness, equity and Justice.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Newly Elected President, Snr. Comr. Efere Azibator Tony appreciated the entire youths/Elders of the clan for finding him worthy of such high reputable position, he therefore promised not to betray their trust, to defend the interest of the youths at all time and to always stand on the path of truth,fairness and equality for all.

Efere further pledge readiness to work with all youths bodies of the clan, stating that there will be no distinction in his time, he called on all youths of the clan to Shun political sentiments and join hands with his administration to bring about unity and development.

" I am a President of all EMEYAL clan Youths, not a President of APC, not a President of PDP, not a President of APGA, I am for all youths and no particular youths, I am ready to embrace all youths and I advice all of them to join hands with me and let's make OBHAN EMEYAL Better" he added.

Comr. Etai Daniel, the Chairman of the Occasion who represented the life Patron of the council in Person of Snr. Comr. Barr. Alabh George Turnah, advised the youths not to be politically affiliated in their activities and urged them to utilise the position and ensure the unity of all OBHAN EMEYAL Youths, he further asked them to organise programs that will promote entrepreneurship, fight against drug abuse, and encourage skills.

The member representing Ogbia constituency 3 in the Bayelsa state House of Assembly also graced the occasion, he also advised the youths to do away with political activities as they carry out their duty, he stressed on the need for an all inclusive program that will accommodate all youths of the Clan.

Comr. Avor  Azibolomedia, the Elected Public Relations Officer of the council also spoke on the need for the youths of the clan to unite and form a formidable force to achieve it's collective goals. He also stated his readiness towards actualizing the Unity of all Ogbia Youths.

Handing over the documents of the council, the pioneer and immediate past president, Comr. Otobo Victor (JP), urged the incoming President and his Executives to hold tenaciously to the laws binding the council.

Great Youths Leaders of the Lga were also present to witness the occasion, the Ogbia Brotherhood led by it's President, Dr. Gilbert Lagou (PH.D), his Executives, Comr. Eburu Obebi Talent  (Secretary), Comr.  Andrew Princewill  (Treasurer), and Comr. Wisdom Igbrubia (Auditor). Also Comr. Johnny S. Jonathan and others.
