GEN. PREYE CONGRATULATES NUIS NEW PRESIDENT COMMENDS IYC.
DELTA: Chief Preye Ekpebide, Founder "Touching A Life Foundation" has issued a congratulatory message to the newly elected president of the National Union Of Izon-Ebe students Worldwide in person of Comrade Douye Saviour Seifere in the just concluded congress and elections held in Tuomo.
Speaking through his media aide Basil Ujobolo in Tuomo Town, Chief Preye popularly known as General Preye gave kudos to the immediate past president of the union Comr. Gesikeme Fulutu, the electoral committee, security personnels and others for conducting a free and fair polls where contestants were given a fair level playing field to test their popularity.
He therefore urged the newly elected executive to tow the line of servant- hood leadership, where their primary goal will put others first before themselves. He called on all contestant to sheat their swords and work with the new Executives to form a formidable team inorder to move the union and the izon ebe at large forward.
In his words, "Todays election has shown that the younger generation can be better organised without interferance by our leaders, the Izon nation is bigger than one man to pocket, the era of Godfatherism is truely fading away" he added.
He further expressed gratitude to the entire IYC, especially the President, Engr. Udengs Eradiri, most snr. comrade Jp Owopele, Comrade Robert Igali, Alex Bunu, Comrade Kennedy Olorogun, Comrade Razak Amatoru and other stake- holders who were present to play a fair observatory role to ensure that elections are free and fair and making the electioneering process peaceful for contestants.
On the issue of the forthcoming IYC elections, Chief Preye urged all izon sons and daughters of credible and unquestionable character to come out and contest on the premise of making a difference in leadership.
"This is the time where the izon nation can reunite, i trust Comrade Udengs Eradiri who himself is a visionary and selfless leader will give an enabling environment for every aspirants to test their popularity.The era of Father to son politics should be seriousely avoided. The Izon nation is for us all ahhnnnn izon" he concluded.
