PDP constitutes 242 member Convention Committee

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has constituted a 242-member convention planning committee to prepare for the August 17 convention of the party in Port-Harcourt.

The CPC is headed by Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and has the outgoing Naitonal Secretary, High Chief Ben Obi as secretary. The party also yesterday announced the constitution of a 80-man Finance Committee to also mobilise funds for the Port-Harcourt convention. The finance committee is headed by Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State. Senator Biodun Olujimi is to serve as secretary of the Finance Committee.

Both committees are to be inaugurated by the national chairman of the party, Senator Ahmed Makarfi on Friday according to a statement issued by Obi.
