NEMBE KILLINGS: IYC EXPRESSES READINESS TO WORK WITH ARMY, SAYS PERPETRATORS ARE NOT NEMBE PEOPLE.

NEMBE: The IYC Nembe city-clan Chairman, Central Zone,  Comrade Yenimi Dick-Agbe, has issued a statement today August 9th 2016, describing the killing of three soldiers along his terrain by armed militia, as barbaric, insane and uncivilised.

The IYC clan who was very bitter and sympathetic over the incident, apologized to the Nigerian army and expressed condolences to the Bereaved.

He further, pleaded with the Nigerian army not to be an aggressive on the Nembe people, describing the Nembe people as peace loving people, according to him, the perpetrators of the act are not people from Nembe, rather from other communities who has seen Nembe Kingdom as a fruitful land to carry out dastardly activities due to the water terrain and insecure environment.

Yenimi while speaking also expressed readiness and commitment in working hand in hand with the Military to fish out those who are behind the act. He further called on the peace loving people of Nembe not to panic but to be ready to cooperate with the Military to ensure Justice is done.

"The issue of Insecurity on the Nembe water-ways is a known one, our people have been suffering in the hands of sea pirates which come from neighbouring communities to perpetrate evil on our people, it is on record how our clan secretary was also killed by this vandals, how many persons are being raped and robbed, I am ready to work with the military to ensure these evil people are apprehended" he added.
