NDU TO RESUME SEPTEMBER 2ND, AS ASUU SUSPENDS ACTION.
The Niger Delta University has officially announced a date for resumption, in a memo circulated today 24th, the university is set to resume as follows:
• Friday 2nd September- Arrival of students.
• Monday 5th September - Lectures/ Revision for all students.
• Friday September 9th - Lecture Ends.
• Saturday 10th September - Matriculation.
• Friday 16th September - Exams for Faculty of Education.
• Monday 19th ~ 23rd September - GST Exams.
• Monday September 26th ~ Oct 14th - Exams for all Faculties.
• October 17th ~ 21st - One week semester break.
Sandwich students are also to resume September 2nd.
While second semester is to commence from October 24th 2016, convocation holds March 2017.
The decision of the university came as a result of the industrial 'sit at home' action that was officially suspended by The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Niger Delta University, NDU, Bayelsa state branch.
The Zonal Coordinator ASUU Port Harcourt Zone, Professor Beke Sese and NDU ASUU branch chairman Dr Stanley Ogoun disclosed the suspension today 24th during a news conference in Yenagoa.
