•Wants govt to bring perpetrators to book .

ABUJA: The Deputy youth leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC ) in Nembe local government of Bayelsa state, Hon. Brave Samuel Felix ( AKA small body big engine) yesterday August 9th,said militants had no justification to kill Nigerian soldiers carrying out lawful duties in the state.

Hon Brave who was reacting to Sunday's morning killing of Nigerian soldiers, other civilians by militants in a checkpoint point at Tompi-Polo water front in Nembe local government area, said such rascally action could turn the town (community) into a theatre of war.

In his statement he noted: “This killing is criminality carried too far as nothing justifies the taking of lives of uniformed security men who are out to protect the common property of Nemberians and State at large.“

The activities of these militants or pirates is aimed at turning the peaceful community into a theatre of war and this portends great danger to the whole population aside from casting the image of the LGA as insecure and unfit for investment. We cannot, as a people of the community afford this rascality if we hope to make progress,” he said.

“For the umpteenth time, I wish to call on government , chiefs, traditional rulers and well meaning people to speak up and not only condemn the activities of these militants, but also offer their best counsel and commitment towards resolving this crisis.”

Hon Brave Samuel in his conclusion extended condolences to the families of the victims and prayed God to grant them eternal rest, while urging the security agencies to ensure that the culprits do not go scot free.
