Bayelsa Youth Leadership Award is an initiative aimed at encouraging and rewarding excellent performances of youths in all spheres of life from politics, leadership skills, entertainment, sports, agriculture, to mention a few.

Strange but true is the fact that diligent and trustworthy youths are hard to find as those who have impacted one way or another and has served in one public office or the other have not been recognised for their good deeds. Also, several individuals, Non Governmental Organizations, Corporate Institutions etc have been instrumental to youth development in Bayelsa state and has gone unrecognised for years.

Therefore, it is in this light that BYLA is providing the opportunity to recognise and reward outstanding youths in Bayelsa state as well as individuals and institutions that has played a vital role in youth development.
