NUIS SET TO HOLD CONVENTION, ANNOUNCES C'MITTEE

YENAGOA: In a press briefing held at Ijaw house, secretariat of the National Union of Izon-Ebe students (NUIS), worldwide, Yenagoa, Bayelsa state,12th July 2016.

The President of the union, Comrade Gesikeme Fulutu, has approved the setting up of a three member convention planning committee, for the 2016/2017 academic year.

According to the statement, the members of the planning committee, with their portfolios are as follows:

• Kuro Thompson, rep. Central zone (Chairman)

• Oko-JaJa E.B. Michael, rep. Eastern zone (Secretary)

• Afekoro Bedekenana Mclon, rep. Western zone (P.R.O).

The statement also gives directives for the aforementioned persons, with immediate effect to draw up a blueprint for an all inclusive convention.

The President further gave his remarks by expressing gratitude to all former and present stakeholders towards their immense contributions in building the izon-ebe union. He still further reinstated his commitment to call for a stakeholders meeting, this he said shall be in due course.

He added " let us all work together for the unity and development of our great union, I sincerely appreciate those who gave all they had to get to  were we are today, God bless you, I also want to appeal to notable stakeholders and leaders of our region to always support the izon-ibe students union, either morally, physically or otherwise, in unity we stand and divided we fall".
