I'm in a Town Hall Meeting With The International Community in London- Udengs Eradiri. Refutes report of evading arrest

- Udengs Said Mike Edounkumor had earlier apologized for his unruly behaviour, blamed Ikuli for misleading him.

- Udengs said he did not attack Ikuli and Mike but angry youths did to stop them from ridiculing the Ijaw Nation.

YENAGOA: President of the Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide Engr. Udengs Eradiri have responded to a malicious story currently being circulated on the social media by one Mike Edounkumor that he(Engr. Udengs Eradiri) absconded to London to evade arrest by the Nigerian police over allegations bothering on assault and murder.

In a telephone interview with our correspondent, Engr. Udengs Eradiri said the story is not only laughable but shameful because he is in London for a town hall meeting with the international communities to find lasting solution to the recent spate of restiveness in the Niger Delta and to initiate programmes that will be beneficial to the region. The meeting according to him also includes Ijaw youths in the diaspora.
He also dispelled the rumor  being peddled against him that he assaulted Most Snr. Comr. Wisdom Onikpar Ikuli and Mike Edounkumor on the premises of Rythm 94.7 Yenagoa.

According to him what actually happened was that he went to the station  with some police officers  to execute a court order restraining any individual from parading his/herself as a factional executive of the IYC, on getting there, he met some already angered Youths who were aggravated by the unsubstantiated,  weighty and false allegations levied against him (Engr. Udengs Eradiri) on the said live radio interview, he said the angry youths were already descending on Mike Edounkumor to stop him from bringing ridicule to the Ijaw Youth Council. He had to intervene to save them.

Throwing more light on the issue he said after the incident at the radio station, Mike Edounkumor came to him and apologized saying he was misled by Most Snr. Comr. Wisdom Onikpar Ikuli. But he's surprised that after apologizing for his unruly behaviour and rebellion Mike Edounkumor is still allowing himself to be used by divisive elements who are hell bent on destroying the most revered Ijaw Youth body because of their selfish aims.
