#BRINGBACKNDU PRESS RELEASE: CALL FOR MEETING

Members of the Press-

NOTIFICATION FOR A MEETING OF ALL NIGER DELTA UNIVERSITY STUDENTS AND PUBLIC CORRECTION OF JONATHAN OBUEBITE'S SUPRIOUS STATEMENT.

To retrieve a false information and lay bold the genuine is a difficult task. This was the motif  that propelled the Hon. Commissioner For Information, to have mischievously said that the 20th July, 2016 NDU students protest was geared against ASUU.

The students protested because we want to go back to classrooms and it was not geared on ASUU neither against the government.

Honourable Commissioner sir, Crediting the actions of your government by falsifying the intent of the protest on the media is unpalatable and heinous to the entire student community.

Reiteratively, the protest was not against the ASUU or the Government but a demand for a compromise in terms of both party so the strike will be an issue of the past.

Greatest Niger Delta University! Greatest Gbosa! Let me use this medium to inform all students that there will be a meeting scheduled to hold on Tuesday, 26th July, 2016. At an undisclosed venue for now, because of security reasons, we will therefore communicate the venue and time of the meeting via ems and on whatsapp portals on the said date.

Agenda for the meeting are:

* A strategic Plan to stage another protest if the One week ultimatum given to the government and ASUU elapse.

* The unjust manhandling of our SUG caretaker chairman by Government thugs on the last protest: The way forward.

* Security of the protest committee members

* A.O.B

We remain greatful to God Almighty for keeping us through. We also urge all students to be steadfast and display courage as victory will be ours soon. Measures to get a security team on ground is also currently in place.

Media houses will also be notified to attend the meeting and reports it's resolution to the general public.
