NLC STRIKE: AJAERO FACTION PULLS OUT
FG Reaches Agreement With Ajaero NLC Faction Over Fuel Price Hike, Minimum Wage.
The federal government of Nigeria has set up a committee to review the new pump price of petrol, an agreement made with the Joe Ajaero-led faction of the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC.
The committee will work with the faction of the congress and will also look into the current N18,000 minimum wage. The committee will look into the issue for two weeks.
The Ajaero-led faction said it won't join in the strike action, scheduled to commence on Wednesday.
However, the Ayuba Wada led faction of NLC has vowed to go ahead with the proposed strike action, despite a court ruling which restrained the union from embarking on industrial action.
