BAYELSA REPORTER BEATEN BY AIR FORCE
Radio Bayelsa Reporter, Tonye Yemoleigha battered by an NAF officer while passing by the Air Force Quarters along Ebis Mechanic Road, Yenagoa, Bayelsa. Tonye told our source, that he was stopped and before he could respond to the question “Who are you?” he got a slap and was beaten blue back. And was taken to their premises and was hit with a plank repeatedly until he could barely find his way home.
It’s worthy to note that the Junior officers quarters is off the Ebi’s Mechanic Road. Tonye said he has spent over N50k for X-ray, scan and treatment to get his health back on track.
The Former Council Chairman Tariyno Akono posted the ugly incident on his facebook wall, stating that The Chief of Air Staff, S.B Abubakar should be aware that the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) will seize to cover the activities of the Air Force in Bayelsa.
